Outdoor Adventures You Can Enjoy All Over Australia
The Land Down Under, as what this continent is also called, is an excellent destination for those who crave for adventure. Why is this so? For one, the place is just huge. And whether or not because of its size, the region is just stuffed with loads of natural wonders, both on land and in water, making it a place that offers a host of opportunities for outdoor pursuits.
There are, of course, major events that are held in the region that will allow you to experience the Australian outdoors. Here are some suggestions you can try out:
Cattle Driving at Oodnadatta Track. Do you want to try what it feels like being a cowboy? Then venture into the Oodnadatta Track on horseback and witness rugged landscapes as you plunge into its trails. You can camp out at Anna Creek Station, which is said to be the biggest cattle station in the world.
Fishing at Fraser Island. Located in Queensland, this is considered the largest sand island in the world. And, apart from the angling you can do here, the place also has a spectacular beach that is approximately 75 miles long (120 kilometres) and has rainforests and at least one hundred freshwater lakes. This is not even counting the diverse wildlife such as kangaroos, birds, wallabies, dingos, and flying foxes that are native to area.
Go Diving at Ningaloo Marine Park. Situated in Western Australia, this is one of Australia's best-kept secrets. Although it has fewer visitors compared to the Great Barrier Reef, the underwater spectacles this place has to offer include: dolphins, turtles, dugongs, manta rays, whale sharks, almost 500 types of fish, and more than 200 classes coral species. Even better is the fact that Ningaloo Reef is a mere 100 yards (approximately 91.44 metres) from the beach shore.
After all these pursuits though, you will surely need a good place to rest at the end of the day. For some peace and quiet after all the hustle and bustle, you should book a stay at Lavendale Farm.
