About Lavendale Farm

We are situated 1 hour 30 minutes fromPerth.  10 minutes drive south ofYork.

Lavendale Farm is a place to come and relax, watch the animals graze and walk among the vast array of native Australian trees including a sandalwood plantation.

Our property includes 58 Ha of gently sloping land on the banks of the Avon River. All of the river bank area is natural bush and the property is a “Land for Wildlife” site. The country style farm house was completed in July 2007 and offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills and farmland.

We have designed Lavendale Farm to accommodate families.

There are lovely opportunities for children to play. We have built a play ground area with sand piles, trampoline, swings and a fort.  We have an indoor activity room with table tennis, foosball and a huge drawing board. Please join us in the evenings to help feed the animals and gather eggs from the hens.

We have horses, ponies, donkeys, alpacas, cattle, two very large pigs and  pet sheep, a variety of chickens free ranged in the orchard. We even have a very friendly ostrich.

We have four self-contained cottages on the property and 1 B&B Room with ensuite in our farmhouse. The three, two bedroom cottages are clustered together and the larger three bedroom unit is in its own bush garden separate from the other cottages. Our B&B Room has private access to the veranda through romantic french doors.

You’ll enjoy the communal campfire which we light, weather permitting in the evenings during winter.

Great fun. Bring some marsh-mallows.
